Alberta Home Education Parents Society (AHEPS)
For years, many parents who chose home education have felt that their voices and interests were not represented directly to the government in Alberta, and our intention is to fill that gap.
We are democratically run and inclusive. We aim to represent all home education families regardless of family shape, program choice, educational philosophy, socio-economic status, religion, ethnicity, culture, age, sexual orientation, gender or abilities. In addition to upholding parental autonomy rights per The United Nations Universal Declaration on Human Rights, AHEPS supports individualized education that meets the child's needs and interests
